Faster downloads for premium members!
We’ve rolled out a new feature today that makes downloads up to 333% faster for our premium members. From here on out, premium files can be downloaded at speeds up to 1000 KB/s, which will make for much faster video streaming and a better overall DivShare experience. For free members, the max download speed will stay at our existing level of 300 KB/s.

Surprising enough, there was no comments on this post. Users love to complain about everything, but when you do something very nice and add new features for them, they don’t even say a “thank you”…

I was wondering about that one too, until I realized that it only makes Divshare look a little more shady… they are now admitting that they had the capacity to handle faster downloads for certain members, and a way to throttle bandwidth for other members.
“For free members, the max download speed will stay at our existing level of 300 KB/s.” When was this download speed ever made public except NOW to tout the benefits of a premium/pay membership?
