October 26th, 2007 at 10:09 pm
YEAH… PLZ FIX THE MORE SLOWER UPLOAD AND DOWNLOAD SPEED FIRST!

That’s nice to hear… for direct users that is!
^_^
But please fix the streaming music player
I think it has problems because sometimes it won’t load and you have to refresh the webpage for it to appear. It’s a bit annoying if you ask me.
^_^
Anyway, Divshare rocks!

Hi!
When I share(check) a link of a file in a folder, it also displays other files under the folder. How to disable this? I want it show the file relevant to the link only.
However, in case it’s a link of the folder, then showing all files under the folder is more reasonable.

well, it’s absolutely true, a couple of things that are long due & must be fixed are: 1: there must be a way of an absolute direct link, wherein, the divshare page does not open up at all. at times i don’t really want people to see the content inside my folders. 2: the upload & download speed issues are of the gravest concern & i think we are much behind on this issue. 3: download resume must be brought in with an immediate effect, without that, the experience is not complete!! 4: the file fetch feature is long awaited, please do something about it!! thanks, bharat.

Hello, I’m a free user. I’m trying to download files from one of your directories, but there’s a stupid ad (about having won much money) just above some of the names of the files I want. It’s impossible to get rid of it.
Please fix it. I understand you have to advertise, but in this case it is too annoying.

I totally agree with Bharat. Speed issues continue to bring Divshare down. Isn’t it possible, after all this time, to introduce resumable downloads? PLEASE Divshare, give us what we really need.
Thanx

I am a visitor to a Pro users site and I get more ads than ever! Pop-ups all over the place that won’t close. A pop-up that slides across the screen. Not to mention three types of banner ads…
What a crock!

I’m A Free User And Realized Now Once Again It Seems There Is Another Issue..
The Videos Seem To Not Be Coverting To The Stream Player No More, They’re Only Available To Download. I’ve Uploaded Atleest 5 Videos After This Has Happened The First Time And None Of The Videos Still Wont Convert. I Hope This Is Happening Because It’s Under Construction And Being Fixed. Please Fix This Problem, Thanks.
P.S. This Is A Great Site, Keep Up The Good Work.

I agree. Things really have gone downhill in recent months. Do the Divshare people read this blog any more? If so, they should be getting worried.

“P.S. This Is A Great Site, Keep Up The Good Work. ”
What site have u been looking at. To me this site remains dire. Nothing works well and posting my files here is a waste of time. Do you guys keep back ups of the files you post, I would, can’t see this place being around too long.
Just upload a whopping 3MB file, and yes… the upload stalled at 79%. Way to go DivShare
November 2nd, 2007 at 5:42 am
Just tried to upload a 4.2 Mb file which failed with the message… The upload file is too large !
November 2nd, 2007 at 6:01 am
Sorry, one last thing @ CJ
“The Videos Seem To Not Be Coverting To The Stream Player No More”
I uploaded an avi and the site wouldn’t convert it to the stream player, tried a WMV and it converted it fine. It’s a moot point though, because as the site is so slow, the stream player never started anyway!
November 2nd, 2007 at 4:42 pm
@ Colin
I agree. This site seems indicative of all these web 2.0 startups. i.e. the core functionality goes to ruin, whilst the developers continue to roll out new features.
November 2nd, 2007 at 6:16 pm
Well this is not good then. Most of all my video files are AVI, so this needs to be fixed ASAP. I dont know why all of a sudden, files in AVI format cant be converted to the stream player. I’ve uploaded many videos in AVI format on this site in the past, and they were converted fine. SO PLEASE DIVSHARE PEOPLE FIX THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS REALLY THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE WITH THIS SITE. Also If they’re any other types of video formats i dont know about having problems converting, please fix those too. If you could also improve the speeds of this site too, that would be great. Thanks.

At first, the people at Divshare seemed to be so friendly and caring. Now… they don’t even reply to our legitimate complaints.
Please can you fix speed and reliability and give us RESUMABLE DOWNLOADS. Please?
November 3rd, 2007 at 9:31 pm
True, Colin.
They don’t reply to support emails either.
November 3rd, 2007 at 10:33 pm
They only care about our money guys! Honestly speaking, if they were truly worried about their customer base, they would have done something long ago & response officially through a post the very least.
At first thought, I believe DivShare would be the next sensation but these comments & of course my personal experience with the services here has proven me wrong indeed.
I guess that the people behind DivShare does not even have the technical knowledge to bring up a good service to the world. Have a further look and just think thoroughly about the services given so far. Extremely poor compared to rapidshare, megaupload, sendspace, yousendit, megashares and many others.
They are just here to fill up the share and thought that they would get some idiotic premium users to fill in their greedy pocket.
One of the owners/people/admins of DivShare, correct if I’m wrong?
I’ve been reading all over the place and I’ve only seen people complaining instead of praising.
