Storage Server Maintenance Tonight
Update: All done! Our Athena storage server should be back up to full capacity now. Thanks for your patience, and sorry again for the inconvenience.
We try to do this kind of thing as little as possible, but tonight we need to post an important maintenance notice. Here goes:
We are scheduling an hour of downtime tonight to do some maintenance on our newest storage server. Between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. EST, you won’t be able to access files on the athena or athena-upload subdomains — this will affect most files uploaded within the last month, but some files uploaded during the day today will still be available.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will do our best to bring the server back online before 9:00. You’ll still be able to access the site, your dashboard and all other pages — it’s just that some downloads won’t be working. At this point we expect that you’ll still be able to upload new files, but we’ll notify you if that changes.
In brighter news, we are putting the final touches on the new folder organization system, so watch out for that to go live this weekend. Have a great night, and we’ll be back up to full speed soon!

I’ve been trying to upload a 106 MB mp3 and it won’t work. After it reaches 100% it says “Processing file, please wait…” and just stops. It doesn’t redirect to give me the download link, nothing. And I’ve tried to upload it two times already. Please fix it.

I’m trying to spread awareness so that sites like rapidshare lose business for their poor treatment of their users (i.e. pay to direct download, wait lines, security codes, delayed usage, popup ads)
Why does divshare rock?
Because you can do all those thing but dont….im off to view your advertisements *wink* thanks again.

I just tried uploading a RAR file (twice) and experienced the same problem that Mike spoke of. Once it gets to 100%, it just gets stuck with the “Processing file, please wait…” message. It would appear that the problem hasn’t been fully fixed.

Since I made that last comment, I’ve been able to successfully upload 4 RAR files without any problems. Seems that everything is now running smooth silk.

Hi Guys, your site was recommended to me and I must say I was at first pleasantly surprised until I found out the mp3 player doesn’t work in the opera browser? Any suggestions? Could you look into that?
