But besides the point, I have (like many) ideas. Oh such ideas I have! Categories, tagging, or folders (or all three, haha) could be put into place to manage files. I hold certain preference to tagging, because of its web 2.0-ishness, but any method of organization would be nice. I believe this needs no further explanation. A more intuitive way of uploading could also be used. Instead of an "uploading..." text being displayed, that space can be used to show the percent completed, number of files already uploaded in a queue (1/4 files uploaded, et cetera), or various others. File privacy, applicable with those used to backup sensitive data, is also a big, simple feature that could be implemented to enrich this service. Passworded files could also be used to share with a private crowd, rather than leaving collaborations or the like suspectible to the masses. A multimedia player could be added to display previews or whole movie/music files on the download page. Picture slideshows (I've yet to test your gallery function, mind) could be used to streamline galleries. A stand-alone uploader/downloader application would be great. Compare to the Mega Manager over at MegaUpload.com, it is very useful. Security wise, it seems your files are not dynamically created in the sense that they are easily accessible without navigating to the download page. For example, a picture I uploaded is displayed on the download page, but viewing it I find a easily dissected address: [root]/uploads/files/year#/month#/day#/(random 5 digit number)/file name.ext (merely an observation) I'm sure we all have suggestions on how to make this service better. I think you should take heed and invest in a forum (I, personally, despise the informality of a blog comment). I'm sure other people have suggestions far better than mine--or more practical, for that matter. But I don't expect the world from a service in its infancy. After all, this is just the beginning, right?
